George Brown produced the Minnesota Golf Association’s centennial book, a 144-page, four-color coffee table volume published in November 2001. It features a brief history of golf in Minnesota and looks at the MGA’s first 100 years, as well as some of the master course architects who plied their trade in the state and 20 prominent Minnesota courses. The book highlights seven Minnesota players who became golf legends, takes a glance at the MGA championships contested each year and offers an in-depth look at seven memorable majors held in Minnesota from 1901–2001.

“What a terrific job you’ve done on 100 Years Of Minnesota Golf. I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed first thumbing through and then reading the book, nor can I begin to describe the many, many memories it brought to mind. As you might imagine, they were wonderful years for me, and your book served to help me relive them. It’s a lovely book, and I assure you I’ll always treasure it, as will, I’m sure, anyone privileged to own a copy.”
